# PIXUL — Active Motif

> Multi-Sample Sonicator. PIXUL processes 96 samples simultaneously in standard microplates using 2 MHz arrayed megasonication transducers. Validated across chromatin (ChIP-Seq), DNA, RNA, protein (LC-MS/MS), FFPE, and cfDNA workflows.

## About

PIXUL is a high-throughput multi-sample sonicator manufactured and distributed by Active Motif. It uses an array of paired acoustic transducers — one column-pair per column of a standard 96-well plate — to deliver identical shearing to every well in 10 to 30 minutes. Originally developed by Dr. Karol Bomsztyk and Dr. Tom Matula at the University of Washington, then commercialized by Matchstick Technologies and licensed to Active Motif for global distribution.
